NSN Basecamp Terms & Conditions

Your use of Basecamp is subject to these Terms and Conditions. By accessing or using Basecamp services, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you may not use Basecamp services. 

Membership Eligibility:

Nonprofit Support Network (NSN) offers free Basecamp platform memberships exclusively to registered nonprofit organizations. To be eligible, organizations must provide valid proof of their nonprofit status.

Membership Duration:

The Basecamp platform membership provided by NSN is ongoing, contingent upon the nonprofit organization's compliance with these terms and conditions.

User Accounts:

  • Nonprofit organizations may create user accounts for their members, volunteers, and staff members to access the Basecamp platform. Each account must be associated with a valid and active email address.

Platform Usage:

  • Members are granted access to the Basecamp platform solely for nonprofit-related activities. Any commercial, unlawful, or inappropriate use of the platform is strictly prohibited.

User Behavior Guidelines:

  • Members of the Basecamp platform must adhere to the following behavior guidelines:

A. Respectful Communication:

  • Users should engage in respectful and professional communication at all times. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of disrespectful behavior is not tolerated.

B. Intellectual property: 

  • Users must respect intellectual property rights. Sharing copyrighted material without proper authorization is strictly prohibited.

C. Confidentiality: 

  • Members must not disclose confidential information shared by other organizations or NSN. Confidentiality is crucial for maintaining a trusted community.

D. Compliance with Laws: 

  • Users must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Any illegal activities on the platform will result in immediate termination of membership.

  • Users must agree to indemnify and hold NSN harmless from any loss or damage, including attorneys’ fees, arising out of any claim or proceeding instituted on the grounds that any of the foregoing rights have been violated. 

E. Non-Solicitation: 

  • The platform is not to be used for soliciting donations or funds without prior authorization from NSN. Any fundraising activities must comply with relevant regulations.

F. Tech Etiquette 

  • Users should exercise caution when sharing links, files, or other content. Malicious activities, including the distribution of viruses or malware, are strictly prohibited.

Account Security: 

  • Members are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts. Any unauthorized use or suspicious activity must be reported to NSN immediately.

Termination of Membership: 

  • NSN reserves the right to terminate the Basecamp platform membership of any organization that violates these terms and conditions. Termination may occur without prior notice.

Modifications to Terms: 

  • NSN may modify these terms and conditions at any time. Organizations will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the Basecamp platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

  • By accessing and using the Basecamp platform through Nonprofit Support Network, organizations agree to abide by these terms and conditions. NSN reserves the right to interpret and enforce these terms at its discretion.
