Meet Our 2025 Interns
Nonprofit Support Network is thrilled to host three talented interns from Ball State University. They each bring fresh insights and energy to important projects that align with their academic paths. Our 2025 Internship Program was designed to be intentional—matching students with work that reflects their studies while also connecting them to the people and purpose of the nonprofit sector.
Whether you've interacted with them directly or benefited from the behind-the-scenes impact of their work, you've likely already felt their presence. Learn more about them below.
Jennifer Gosse | Emerging Media Design & Development
Jennifer Gosse is completing her graduate studies in Emerging Media Design & Development, and her internship with Nonprofit Support Network is wrapping up soon. Jennifer is taking on a big task— implementing a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This will enhance how we manage registration, communication, and engagement with our network.
Jennifer has taken the lead on researching CRM platforms, evaluating functionality, and guiding us through the selection and setup process. Her user-centered mindset and systems thinking have helped ensure the platform will be intuitive and effective.
“My internship with Nonprofit Support Network has been a valuable experience where I was able to apply my knowledge in user experience and systems thinking to a real-world CRM implementation. It’s rewarding to see how my work will support long-term efficiency and communication for the organization and the nonprofits they serve.”
Madelyn Bracken | Journalism
Madelyn Bracken, an undergraduate journalism student, joined Nonprofit Support Network for a focused, 150-hour internship. Her work has centered on the Tools: Downloads & Guides section of our website. Madelyn has evaluated the current offerings, gathered feedback from local nonprofit leaders, and started refreshing content to better meet website visitor’s needs.
Her journalism training shines through in her ability to listen well, ask thoughtful questions, and craft clear, helpful updates that will make it easier for organizations to access the resources they need.
"I'm excited to be a part of revamping such a useful and tangible part of the Nonprofit Support Network's website. It is a new and different way to flex the skills I've learned in Journalism and branch out from the news desk!"
Sami Farmer | Hospitality Innovation & Leadership
Sami Farmer is just beginning her internship, and she’s diving straight into a major initiative: the planning and execution of the 2025 Nonprofit Summit on October 29. Sami is involved in everything from logistics and vendor relations to marketing, design, and day-of coordination for this event. This is a big feat as it brings together 150 nonprofit staff, volunteers, and board members from across the region.
Her hospitality background and natural enthusiasm are already setting the stage for a welcoming, well-organized experience.
“I am so excited to have the opportunity to work alongside the planning team to plan the 2025 NSN Summit! I can't wait to see this come together and be a great event!”
We are so grateful to Jennifer, Maddie, and Sami for their contributions. The future of the nonprofit sector is bright with emerging professionals like them—thoughtful, mission-minded, and ready to lead.
