Event Details

Nonprofit work is meaningful, but it can also be relentless. This interactive session helps participants build a sustainable approach to work/life balance by focusing on self-care, boundary-setting, workload management, and healthy workplace relationships. Participants will leave with practical strategies to protect their energy, communicate expectations clearly, and stay effective without burning out.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  1. Use practical self-care strategies to prevent burnout and sustain performance over time

  2. Set and maintain healthy boundaries while still being a strong teammate and leader

  3. Apply time/workload strategies to manage competing priorities more effectively

  4. Strengthen workplace relationships through clearer communication and expectations

Facilitator

Rhonda Wilson is the Executive Director of Engagement, Wellbeing & Culture at Ball State University, where she leads institution-wide strategies that strengthen employee engagement, wellbeing, and workplace culture. With more than 18 years of experience in higher education, her work integrates evidence-based wellbeing practices with leadership development and organizational culture.

Rhonda holds a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Ball State University. She is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, Dare to Lead™ Trained, a Developing a Leadership Mindset (DALM) Facilitator, and a LEGO® Serious Play® Facilitator. Rhonda has spent 18 years coaching high school and club volleyball. She is married to her husband, Brad, and together they have four children and a goldendoodle. When not in the gym, she loves spending time with friend, enjoying the outdoors.
