Grant Writing Isn’t Overhead — It’s Infrastructure

As we prepared to launch the Grant Learning Series this February, a Blue Avocado article published in January stood out for its timely and practical guidance. The article highlights strategies for strengthening grant writing by embedding it more intentionally within an organization’s overall infrastructure.

Two of the recommendations align directly with the tools and opportunities offered through the Nonprofit Support Network:

  • Create a comprehensive grants calendar with deadlines and renewal dates — a ready-to-use version of this tool will be provided as part of the Grant Learning Series beginning February 17.

  • Build relationships with peers from other organizations to exchange templates, share insights, and learn from one another — these connections can be made through our Resource Development Huddles.

Together, these resources are designed to help organizations strengthen their grant strategy, improve efficiency, and build long-term funding capacity.

Hope to see you at these upcoming events!
